Dancing Kings and Queens Gathered at Pacific Rim

The "Pacific Rim Cup" Modern and Latin Dance Competition held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) on the 11th and 12 October 1999 concluded with great success. Six talented dancer pairs recieved the memorable Pacific Rim Cups to loud applause from judges and spectators. (Results are now available at our results page).

Organised byt the HKCEC, the dance competition was a kick-off to "Social Dance by the Waterfront" available at the Pacific Rim every Tuesday from 7:00pm - 11:30pm, commencing on 19 October.

Overlooking the famous Victoria Harbour in Phase 2 of the HKCEC, Pacific Rim offers spectacular views of the city's beauty for superb dining and dancing enjoyment. Start off with a fabulous dinner buffet featuring assorted Asian Pacific specialities in sumptuous varieties: freshly imported oysters, seafood, sushi, salads, cold platters, savoury hot dishes, irresistable desserts and more.

On the dance floor, there is a professional DJ presenting a wide range of ballroom music, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows reflecting an amazing panorama of the beautiful harbour front.

The dinner buffet is served from 7:00pm - 10:00pm; dancing starts from 8:30pm to 11:30pm.
